About me:

Ana Marcela is a rising junior in Quincy. Born and raised in Cali, Colombia, she feels that her city — known as the “branch of heaven” and “world capital of salsa”— gave her the ability to respond to any situation with energy, a smile on her face, and the belief that all will be well. Ana Marcela applied to Harvard undecided and, in the true spirit of liberal arts education, she has taken classes in areas from chemistry and math to literature and philosophy. Her idea is to do a double concentration in Neurobiology and Social Studies, and a secondary in a humanity, but perhaps that is the product of too much wishful thinking. She’s enthusiastic about finding new spots around campus to (allegedly) study, take in the architectural and natural beauty, and get to know the people who also frequent those places. Ana Marcela has varied interests and hobbies, although mostly in the arts, and can’t wait to see where they intersect with the interests of FIPpers. Her favourite community on campus are international students, so she is eager to meet new ones!
